From Proto-Mon-Khmer *nɔʔ ~ *nɔh (“this”); cognate with Temiar anoh (“this”), Bahnar 'nâu/'nŏu (“this”), Mon ဏံ (nɔˀ, “this”). Compare with Khmer នោះ (nuh, “that”). Probably related also to nó.
