Compare *sekyra (axe) : ?*sěťi (to cut, mow) (> *sěčivo, *dervosěkъ, *drъvosěkъ), *tesla (adze) : *tesati (to hew) and *oskъrdъ < *(s)kérdʰh₁eti (to cut), *bordy <? Proto-Germanic *bardō < ?, *okъša? < Proto-Germanic *akwisī (axe). See also *tęti, *drъvotonь (wood-cutting place), *kolti, *rǫbiti : ?*remeslo.
