  1. (conditional suffix) Forms the first-person plural present tense of verbs (conditional mood, indefinite and definite conjugation).

Usage notes

  • (conditional suffix) Variants:
    -nánk is added to most back vowel verbs
    vár (to wait) + -nánkvárnánk (we would wait)
    Lua error in Module:utilities at line 142: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'h' (a nil value) is added to most front vowel verbs
    kér (to ask) + -nénkkérnénk (we would ask)
    -anánk is added to back vowel verbs ending in two consonants or in a long vowel + t (exceptions: áll, száll, varr, forr, lát)
