sickig

German

Etymology

From Central Franconian seckig (annoyed, pissed off). Analysable as sicken + -ig. This verb is from Central Franconian secke (“to piss” and figuratively “to be pissed off, to complain”). Compare the same semantics in cognate Dutch zeiken (to piss; to complain). These verbs are further cognate with archaic German seichen (to piss), from Proto-Germanic *saikijaną.
