Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon in England. His father called John Shakespeare and was a glover. William himself is often described as a keen businessman so we can assume he got his business acumen from his father. The mother - Mary Arden – was the daughter of farmer. William was the third child of eight. His actual birthdate is unknown, but is traditionally observed on 23 April. William was baptised on 26 April 1564 – we know it for sure. In his younger years Shakespeare attended the Christian Holy Trinity church. Today it is the most famous cathedral on the banks of the Avon River. Shakespeare may have been educated at the King's New School in Stratford about a quarter of a mile from his home. There he would have studied theatre and acting, as well as Latin literature and history.
In 1582 Shakespeare married a woman 8 years older than he. Probably his parents really wanted this wedding. His wife called Anne Hathaway. They married in the village of Temple Grafton. They had 3 children: Susanna, Hamnet and Judith. The son died at the age of eleven.
It is not exactly clear what Shakespeare was doing in the first few years after the marriage. He could be a teacher or a soldier. Many people say that he worked in theatre.
When, in 1592, the Plague closed the theaters for about two years, Shakespeare turned to writing narrative poetry. During this same period, Shakespeare was writing his sonnets, which are more likely signs of the time’s fashion rather than actual love poems detailing any particular relationship.
In 1594 became involved with a theatrical troupe Lord Chamberlain's Men, which from 1599 all the art exhibited in his own theater, The Globe, later in the Blackfriars Theatre. After the death of Queen Elizabeth in 1603, they changed name to the King's Men.
In 1609, the Bard's sonnets were published without the Bard’s permission. It is impossible that William wanted many of his deeply personal poems to be revealed to the outside world.
While Shakespeare might not be accounted wealthy by London standards, his success allowed him to purchase New House and retire in comfort to Stratford in 1611.
Shakespeare retired from theatre in 1610 and returned to Stratford. In 1613 the Globe Theatre burned down, but he remained quite wealthy and contributed to the building of the new Globe Theatre .
Shakespeare died on 23rd April 1616 and was buried in the chancel of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Stratford.
He was an author of 36 pieces. He wrote historical chronicles, comedies and tragedies. Chronicles largely thematically connected with the history of England in XV in. A problem of the power which is coming into sight is the most important motif of his dramas as corrupting and destroying.
Many of us read Romeo and Juliet. This is one of the most famous love stories in the world. The play is about two important families in the town, the Capulets and the Montagues. They are always fighting and quarrelling . Romeo, the only son of Montagues, falls in love in Juliet, the only daughter of Capulets. Both committed suicide out of love. Their deaths ultimately unite their feuding families.
Another famous tragedy called Macbeth. General Macbeth and Banquo, meet the three witches. They predict that he will one day become king. He decides that he will murder Duncan. Macbeth's wife agrees to his plan. The crown passes to Macbeth, but he can’t be happy. In the end of play he was killed.
William Shakespeare is one of the famous poet and one of his famous sentence sounds: To be or not to be? That is the question.
