deposar

Catalan

Etymology

From Latin dēpōnere, with a change to the first conjugation. The base being changed to Depos- seems to have been based on that verb's preterite, dēposuī, dēposuisse.

Verb

  3. to depose, dethrone
  4. to take down, bring down
  5. to drip, drop
