Online shopping has become a reality,we did not dream of even twenty years ago.Every day more and more people are turning to the internet to order anything from CDs to cars,food to flights.In my opinion,e-commerce cannot be compared with any other from of shopping.
The most important advantage of Internet shopping is convenience.People usually do online shopping from their homes or offices to save the time and hassle of going to the mall.As online stores are open for twenty for hours,consumers can visit the shops whenewer they want.This is a very good point for very busy modern people.This is also why e-commerce is growing so rapidly.In addition,the miracle of databases allows for a wider choice of usually cheaper products.Consumers can browse products that are made all around the world and find hard-to-find information or out-of-print books.What is more,items are usually cheaper on the Web because warehouse and staff costs are lower.
Obviously,there are people who argue that online shopping is devoid of enjoyment that shopping in the real world gives.Not only does it lack social interaction,but also the personal attention shopping in a traditional way gives.They forget,however,that there are more socuable and interactive activities than browsing through products in the mall,such as partying,diing,or sports activities.
In conclusion,I do not thonk either way of shopping will outdo the other.Still,the comfort and availability online shopping offers to its consumers makes it the most convenient form of retail ever.
