Tourism is a necessary evil in my own country

Nowadays tourism is very important and popular. It has good sides but it also has some setbacks. But is it a necessary evil in my own country?
First of all, I think that Poland is quite an attractive place for foreigners, but unfortunately it does not offer much now. At the Baltic Sea the beaches are charming but the water is very cold. The Sudety Mountains and the Carpathians can make a good place to visit, but they are not as beautiful as the mountains in Switzerland. For yachtsmen the real paradise will be in Mazury.
But what is the problem? In fact, the problem is that even though we have such wonderful places, our government does not have much money so we can not afford to modernize many health resorts, hotels and spas. Therefore they look the way they look and they do not attract lots of tourists.
So as I have written up, I think that tourism is a necessary evil in Poland. The main thing to do is to invest in tourism so that it could become a profit-making business. The authorities should do something to make the situation better.
In conclusion, I would like to write that despite the fact that Poland is not well- developed as far as tourism is concerned, it can become a really good tourist destination if we only give more thought and interest to it.
