But, First you should know something more about history of the city.
London was founded by Romans in 43 A.D. and was called Londinium. In 61 A.D. the town was burnt down and when it was rebuilt by Romans it was surrounded by a wall. The area witch the wall is now called the City of London.
When William the Conqueror conquered England in 1066 he made London his base. He built The Tower of London and was crowned at Westminster Abbey. During the Middle Ages many churches and monasteries were built. Merchants and artists lived inside the City .
During 16th century became an important economic and financial centre. The Londoners of the Elizabethan period built the first theater.
1666 was the year of the Great Fire of London, witch destroyed most of the city. After the fire many buildings were rebuilt in a much safer way.
During 19th century London was one of the most important centres of the Industrial Revolution and the center of the British Empire.
Today London is a cosmopolitan city and its population is almost 7 milions.

First I would like to show you Tower Bridge and The Tower of London.
Tower Bridge, on the river Thames is drawbridge. It’s mean that it can be opened. Near The Bridge you can sea The Tower of London , which is the old Norman fortress, built by William the Conqueror. Since then it has been used as a prison, palace, place of execution and a showcase for the Crown Jewels. Today, you can visit The Tower of London between 10 and 17 o’clock.
The third interesting places is St. Paul’s Cathedral, which is located in the center of the City. It was built by sir Christopher Wren after the old Cathedral had been destroyead by the great fire in 1666. St. Paul’s Cathedral is a place of many important events in London, for example there was a Royal wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
Next is Piccadilly Circus. It is area there are many theater, cinemas , restaurants, discos, nightclubs and the statue of Eros- one of landmarks of London.
You can’t forget about Buckingham Palace and House of Parliament.
Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of The Queen and the Royal Family. When the Queen is at home the royal flies on top. The only places open to the public are The Queen’s Gallery and the Royal Mews, when you can see Royal coaches, horses and harnesses.
The built of Houses of Parliament is on the north bank of the river Thames and this is the place where the House of Lords and the House of Commons meet to discuss and pass lows.
When Parliament is sitting a Union Jack flies on the tower. Next to the Houses of Parliament is Big Ben, on of landmarks of London.

London is also a city, where are about 150 museums and 500 galleries , so every one can find some interesting places.
One of the most known is National Gallery, which is one of the greatest collections of European painting in the world. With paintings were painted from 1250 to 1900, the collection includes work by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Turner, Cezanne and Van Gogh. .
