Fame

Fame. Many people dream of it, but to some it is irresistible. There are people who will spend their whole lives trying to achieve it, and why not, it does have its benefits.

Fame can provide you with many wonderful things: money and wealth, for one. You can have that beautiful house you have always dreamed of, or even two, take trips around the world, and of course be loved and admired by everyone. If you’re lucky enough you might even never have to worry about money or paying bills for the rest of your life. You can be chauffeured to galas and receptions, meet dignitaries, movie stars and royalty, and even have your own private jet or yacht. Everything is possible when you’re famous! Sure, it sounds great but its not all “glitz and glory”.

First of all, with fame you give up some sense of privacy. You could be hounded by photographers and paparazzi and have details of your personal life written about in the tabloids or mentioned on the daily news. Then there is the possibility of staltres. Famous figures nowadays are spending millions on security alone, and some are even moving abroad just to have some peace and quiet, and to feel safe, too.
Then there is the “living up to an image” problem. With fame come certain beliefs and expectations, constant criticism and attention. No matter what one does he or she, can never live up to the “image” that fans or critics have of them. This can be very difficult to deal with and can take a toll on a person’s psyche, particularly when the spotlight fades and the applause stops. For some it even ends tragically.
Fame is not an easy thing to achieve and it is not an easy thing to live with. When you’re famous you can never really be sure if people like you for who you are or for what you can do for then, and that’s just one of the downfalls. Personally, I wouldn’t want to be famous, I do not want the spotlight, but for those who do I say good luck! And one more thing, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it!

My favourite film star is Julia Roberts. She is American. She is very famous actress. She starred in such films as “Pretty woman”, “ My best friend wedding”, “I love trouble”, “Notting Hill”. I like her because is very interesting person. I very like her acting. She knows how to amuse and move me.
