,,Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets”
By Joanne K. Rowling
As you know, science- fiction and fantasy books are now very popular. The stories about beautiful, but unreal worlds are being read by children, teenagers and adults. I have also read one of them- ,,Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets” wrote by Joanne K. Rowling.
It’s a second part of saga about young wizard. The story begins in Dursleys house, where Harry has to live, because his parents were killed by the most dangerous magician- Lord Voldemort. Harry was only one year old kid but Voldemort wanted his death too. He said mortal spell but... something reflected the power and Harry lived the attack. His enemy became very weak, but didn’t stop thinking about Harry... Boy didn’t know about his magic skills, Dursleys were keeping it in a secret, but one day Harry got a letter from Hogwart- School of Magic. He got to know everything and start learning. Harry spent there a year, full of adventures, and now he is preparing for the second.
After few days some strange things started to happen... Rumour has it that someone has opened the Chamber of Secrets - legendary room, where lives a monster. He kills those wizards, whose parents haven’t got any magic skills... Unfortunately coincidence makes teachers and students think that Harry has opened the Chamber. Now he has to prove his innocence and fight with a monster...
The plot is very entertaining. There are many unexpected twists of action, which makes reader interested. The characters are realistic and well-developed, often contrast with each other like Potter and Malfoy or headmaster Dumbledore and vain professor Lockhart. Although book is written for children, it’s not infantile. The language isn’t complicated but curious.
I would recommended this book because it changes the way you see world. The good always wins with evil. I think it could teach something not only kids, but also adults.
