The Great Alone

 "The Great Alone" is a documentary film, which shows amazing story of Lance Mackey.
Lance Mackey, who was born in 1970 in Alaska, is American sled dog racer and dog musher. He won
four times Yukon Quest (people say, that this is the hardest and the most dangerous sled dog race on the world) and he also won
four times Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Iditarod Trail is a dog sled race, which take place in March between
Anchorage and Nome. He is the first player, who win both races in one year.Before Lance won his first sled dog race, his brother - Rick Mackey had
won Iditarod Trail too. But he won this race "only" one time. It is worth mentioning, that
the father of these men is Dick Mackey, who was one of the founders of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
Dick, just like Rick, won the Iditarod Trail one time. All three of them won this race on their sixth attempt
and each one of them won with number thirteen.
Lance Mackey finished the Iditarod race in 2002 after he had been diagnosed with throat cancer.
The leader of Lance's team was Larry. Dog helped Lance in ten races and they won seven of them.
Lancy said "He needs no introduction, everyone knows Larry." after he had won Iditarod Trail in 2009.
Lancey Mackey is the unearthly man and film shows us, that everyone should respect him for what he has achieved.
