Do we need a role model?

Looking back through the years, it is easy to notice that people always look for someone who thay could follow. Let's consider whether and wky wee need role models.
Firstly, authorities play a big role in young people's lifes. Teenagers should have a person who they could look up to. Authorities have an influence on creating the young's personalities. Thanks to them they often differentiate good and bad behaviours.
In addition, role models help adults. People are more or less individual, but in the long run, they need some kind of leader who can show them that there still exist values, such as honour, trust, solidarity and consequence in aspiration for goals.
Nevertheless, people's reliability was and still might be abused. It is because of the hypocrisy, frauds, corruptions, mainly in politics, media, sport. People may become sceptic towards another and they may not rely on somebody's else decisions.
On the whole, taking no account of doubt, people need a role model. Regardless of age, we need someone who could lead us, give an example of ethic behaviour and be remembered as someone special.
