World is changed rapidly. The process of civilization made In last two hundred years vastly. There are changed in every part of live ; in science, industry , agro culture, medicine, culture and the way of live. But still facing a lot of problems which have not been solved yet. Many of them refer to environment. People have a huge influence on air soil, water, animals and the other elements of the environment. Unfortunately only few people understand that an integral part of it and need to protect to want exist. Human race and big company is so powerful that destroy live and also by irreversible damages made to the environment. The biggest treats of environmental degradation are; greenhouse effect, global warming, ozone layer deforestation, radioactive waste and environmental pollution.

Nowadays every newspaper , radio or TV gives a lot of information about environment degradation. Often here about greenhouse effect, deforestation or ozone hole. Planet is
fully of dust and dirt. But people still build a lots of factories, power plants and many other things with pollute their air and still degradation environment. “CO2 emissions in 1996 were 3 149 Million tones”( European Commission 1999, p.31) and every year this number growing up. The amount of carbon dioxide and many other harmful gases are realized intro the atmosphere. They cause acid rains pollution and greenhouse effect.
According C.J. Barrow the global warming is especially caused by carbon dioxide which raises the temperature of air from the big companies and industry even as heating plant or from coalmine. In the north the weather might be much wetter, while in the south there could be much drier conditions. That’s means extensive flooding in the north while parts of the agriculturally productive south will turn intro desert. Sulfur dioxide and other gases which are emitted by coal power plants, cause acid rain. There is a lot of pollution especially in big cities haw for example Dublin, London or New York. Pollution or in other worlds, contamination of air, water or soil in most countries is mainly caused by the increase of civilization as well as by industrializing.
The next one of the important ecological is the hole in ozone layer. The ozone layer this is a region of the upper atmosphere where over 90% of the earth's ozone resides. Ozone is an irritating, corrosive, colorless gas with a smell something like burning electrical wiring.

Each molecule of ozone has three oxygen atoms and is produced when oxygen molecules (O2) are broken up by energetic electrons or high energy radiation. “The made of the ozone layer was a emission of Freon. It becomes bigger and bigger because people use sprays which damage it”. (Barrow C.J 1991,p.50). Cities, towns and villages we leave in are the mostly contaminated. Freon from fridges and sprays use go out into the atmosphere and damage the ozone layer. Cars and factories emit fumes directly into space pollute the air so heavily that many city - dwellers suffer from serious medical disorders. Other things which makes this hole bigger is pollution coming from coach boilers or electric companies.
Deforestations is another important problem in the world. . Each year people and big company degradation through cut dawn big area of rain forest for example in South Africa which produce one third oxygen and they are home for a large number of animals”( Salmin E. & Ullsten O 1999, p.57 )People and organization should be all the time save the forest and don’t permit on the forest dirtiness and cut down . Owing to world can be longer save and survive .Moreover another solution at his problem is to plant more and more trees so that destroyed habitats could be substituted for new owns. It is also a good idea to create national park where many endangered species could be solved.
Even soil is being polluted. People produce so much waste and they do not sort garbage so dumping grounds are still growing. Farmers use fertilizes and pesticides which are harmful to the environment. Despite the fact that many governments try to do their best to protect the Earth and many organization arise to make all the human beings pay attention to the worldwide environmental problem, they is so much for everyone to do .
People can protect environment in many different ways.
First people should be more rived to sort of t all garbage: bottles, paper, tins, and another rubbish and then put them intro special containers. From there they are taken for recycling. It reduces the area of dumping grounds and saves material like paper, glass, different metals. Next should be stop using sprays which damage the ozone layer ,moreover people should not drop chemicals which flow with water intro rivers and poison them making the water unusable for people and animals.(European Commission Directorate –General XI Environment, Nuclear Safety and Civic Protection 1999,p.77-81)
Every years private houses and industry need more and more energy. ”In 1998 the electricity production in Great Britain was 343 billion kWh but in Poland was 143 billion kWh.

But in Great Britain nearly 70% of it comes from fossil fuel, over 28% from nuclear energy and about 3,5% from other sources ( European Commission 1999, p98). The society have to try use less electricity. Most people do not realize that by turning the lights on the make the air and water more polluted. That is because the power plants especially coal-fired one’s emit to the atmosphere a lot of harmful gases .
Another useful thing which could be good not only for the lungs is to limit using cars. Instead of cars which emit toxic fumes. At this situation people should be use other means of transport like buses, trains, metro, which are much more economical and do not pollute the air as much as cars. Also should use unleaded petrol. But the best thing will be when people will be walk or ride a bike more often.


The environmental degradation of the planet is the seriously crisis but there is a lot of things haw people and industry can protect and save environment because the cooperation environments with the people is irreplaceable. . Its easy destruction the world but is harder re-building over. If we don’t do nothing now the world will be not useful for human and for animals in the next’s century. Industry and big company should be remember about; modernization and renovation equipments so as don’t killed the planet and environment.
