- (transitive, intransitive) to beat wildly, to flap, to thrash

- Havia estat potser l'esbategar d'ales d'algun aligot, o el pas furient d'un cabirol entre la brossa.
- Perhaps it had been the beating of wings of some buzzard, or the impetuous passage of a roe deer through the brush.
