Kargan Rural District (Persian: دهستان کرگان) is in Band-e Zarak District of Minab County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Sarmast.
After the 2006 census, Band-e Zarak Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Band-e Zarak District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]
At the National Census of 2011, its population was 12,381 in 2,749 households.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 13,724 in 3,505 households. The largest of its 16 villages was Kargan (now a city),[5] with 5,282 people.[2]
