Unlike English content, 內容内容 (nèiróng) is only used to denote information contained in a text or utterance, or made available by an electronic medium. For content as in amount of material or substance contained in something (that is, contents), 含量 (hánliàng) or 成分 (chéngfèn) is used. For contents as in objects contained inside a larger object 東西东西 (dōngxī) is used; for contents as in table of contents, 目錄目录 (mùlù) is used.
