Nameh Shir Rural District (Persian: دهستان نمه شير)[3] is in Namshir District of Baneh County, Kurdistan province, Iran.
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 6,643 in 1,157 households.[4] There were 5,729 inhabitants in 1,219 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,090 in 1,360 households. The largest of its 24 villages was Najneh-ye Olya, with 688 people.[2]
