Mazhin (Persian: ماژين), Romanized as Magin, Majin, and Māzhīn; also known as Mirza Hoseynabad (Persian: ميرزاحسين اباد), Romanized as Mīrzā Ḩoseynābād; also known as Mīrzā Ḩoseynābād-e Māzhīn, Mīrzā Ḩoseynābād-e Māzhīn and Mazhīr,[3] is a city in Mazhin District of Darreh Shahr County, Ilam province, Iran. The city is populated by Lurs.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 973 in 200 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,160 people in 294 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,512 people in 422 households.[2]
