Aramu (Persian: ارمو, also Romanized as Āramū and Armū)[3] is a village in Aramu Rural District of the Central District of Darreh Shahr County, Ilam province, Iran. The village is populated by Kurds.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,408 in 501 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,516 people in 619 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,383 people in 665 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
