Etymology

From Proto-Albanian *awa-rula, possibly related to Latin rotulare (“to roll, revolve”). Compare Middle English rollen, Old French roler. Alternatively from Proto-Albanian *awa-rāgula, close to Proto-Slavic *krǫgъ (“circle”). Related to vrangull.
