  • Only used about persons (cf numerical noun).
  • Following noun is in the genitive:
    ochdnar bhalacheight boys
  • Alternatively, de and the dative are used:
    ochdnar de bhalaicheight boys
  • Prepositional pronouns used are those formed from de and aig
    an t-ochdnar dhiubh / acathe eight of them
  • Also used on its own:
    Bha ochdnar ann.There were eight.
