nepareizums

From nepareizs (“wrong, incorrect”) +‎ -ums (with nepareizs from ne- +‎ pareizs (“right, correct”), and pareizs from pa reizi, a postpositional phrase originally meaning “in order.”

nepareizums m (1st declension)

1. (singular only) wrongness, incorrectness, inadequacy (the state or quality of that which is wrong, incorrect, inadequate, improper)

   izrunas nepareizums ― pronunciation incorrectness

   izrādes koncepcijas nepareizums ― the incorrectness, inappropriateness of the conception of (that) show

2. error, mistake, deviation from accepted norms

   ir arī tādi cilvēki, kas labprāt vēlētos runāt un rakstīt pareizi... tomēr, mūždien dzirdot un lasot valodas nepareizumus, tie vairs neduras ne ausīs, ne acīs ― there are also people who would like to speak and write correctly... however, hearing and reading today's language mistakes, these (mistakes) no longer pierce their ears and eyes (= are no longer felt as mistakes)
