cơm muối
Vietnamese
Etymology
From cơm (“cooked rice”) + muối (“salt”), perhaps from the ingredients used in exorcisms. Saying it in response to a child's sneeze is believed to expel the evil spirit that's possessing their weak phách at that moment.
