1. Used to form adjectives from verbs, especially those in -ить (-itʹ).

   ‎кали́ть (kalítʹ, “to heat, to incandesce”) + ‎-и́льный (-ílʹnyj) → ‎кали́льный (kalílʹnyj, “glowing, incandescent”)

   ‎роди́ть (rodítʹ, “to give birth”) + ‎-и́льный (-ílʹnyj) → ‎роди́льный (rodílʹnyj, “(relational) childbirth”)

   ‎гла́дить (gláditʹ, “to iron”) + ‎-и́льный (-ílʹnyj) → ‎глади́льный (gladílʹnyj, “(relational) ironing”)
