Etymology 2
From Old Georgian, attested as და-შუშ-ებ-ა (da-šuš-eb-a, “to spoil, pamper”), ultimately from Proto-Georgian-Zan *šuš-. Cognate with Mingrelian შქიშქილა (škiškila, “young, tender”).[1][2]
