Etymology

From Old Georgian აღსაარებაჲ (aɣsaarebay), აღსარებაჲ (aɣsarebay). According to Shanidze, verbal noun of the verb აღიარებს (aɣiarebs) (whence also the modern form) with the root -(ჰ)არ- (-(h)ar-). Development is perceived as such: *აღსაჰარებაჲ (*aɣsaharebay) -> აღსაარებაჲ (aɣsaarebay) -> აღსარებაჲ (aɣsarebay).
