    إمّي أخدت معها الأكل لستّي.

Usage notes

  • بياخد (byāḵod) is more widely understood, as it is also used in North Levantine and Egyptian dialects, while بوخد (bōḵed) is typically South Levantine. This feature is shared with the verb أكل (ʔakal).
