Tarhan-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان طرهان غربي) is in Tarhan District of Kuhdasht County, Lorestan province, Iran.
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 8,847 in 1,703 households.[3] There were 7,807 inhabitants in 1,756 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,526 in 1,465 households. The largest of its 27 villages was Cheshmeh Sefid, with 761 people.[2]
