Chaqabol (Persian: چقابل, also Romanized as Chaqābol, Chaqābal, and Choqā Bol; also known as Choghā Bol)[3] is a city in the Central District of Rumeshkan County, Lorestan province, Iran, serving as both capital of the district and of the county.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,801 in 1,037 households, when it was in the former Rumeshkan District of Kuhdasht County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,176 people in 1,321 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 6,125 people in 1,614 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Rumeshkan County.[4] Chaqabol was designated as its capital.[2]
