Samqavor (Persian: سمقاور, also Romanized as Samqāvor and Samqāvar; also known as Şam‘ Āvar, Şamghāvar, and Shūm Qāwar)[3] is a village in Vafs Rural District of the Central District of Komijan County, Markazi province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,919 in 548 households, when it was in Khenejin Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,086 people in 637 households, by which time most of the rural district had been separated from the district to join the new Farahan County.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,107 people in 684 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
