Pol (Persian: پل), formerly Pol-e Sharqi (پل شرقي), also known as Bandar-e Pol (بندر پل) and Pohl,[3] is a city in the Central District of Khamir County, Hormozgan province, Iran. The village of Pol-e Sharqi merged with the village of Pol-e Angur to become the city of Pol.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population (as the total of the two merged villages) was 5,173 in 1,019 households, when it was in Khamir Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,604 people in 1,438 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,943 people in 1,692 households.[2]
