Mahmudabad (Persian: محموداباد, also Romanized as Maḩmūdābād)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Mahmudabad Rural District of the Central District of Isfahan County, Isfahan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,811 in 5,105 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 5,105 people in 1,470 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of zero.[2]
