This is a list of the suburbs of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, with their postcodes[1] and local government areas (LGAs). This article does not include suburbs and localities within the Adelaide Hills region.
Adelaide's most expensive properties, in terms of sales prices, are mainly located in the inner northern, eastern and southern suburbs, largely because of their proximity to the city centre and private schools, and the array of historic homes within them.[2][3]

Each quarter, The Real Estate Institute of South Australia publishes a list of median house sale prices by suburb. Due to the small size of many of Adelaide's suburbs, there are huge variations with time in the number of sales in a suburb in a quarter, and hence, the suburbs appearing in the "top 10 most expensive suburbs" list, is constantly varying.
