Kalu (Persian: كالو, also Romanized as Kālū) is a village in, and the capital of, Hezarmasjed Rural District of Hezarmasjed District, Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[3]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 594 in 140 households, when it was in the Central District).[4] The following census in 2011 counted 545 people in 155 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 588 people in 181 households.[2]
After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Hezarmasjed District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]
