Jirya (Persian: جيريا, also Romanized as Jīryā; also known locally as Gīryā)[3] is a village in Saruq Rural District, Saruq District, Arak County, Markazi province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,841 in 746 households, when it was in the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,726 people in 810 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Saruq District.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,462 people in 793 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
