Japelaq-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان جاپلق غربی) is in Japelaq District of Azna County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Ashurabad.[3]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 4,215 in 1,005 households.[4] There were 3,036 inhabitants in 964 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,915 in 1,037 households. The largest of its 30 villages was Ashurabad, with 801 people.[2]
