Hovězí is a municipality and village in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,400 inhabitants.
Hovězí lies on the Vsetínská Bečva river, approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-east of Vsetín, 30 km (19 mi) east of Zlín, and 277 km (172 mi) east of Prague.
Etymology
The name of the municipality literally means "beef".
