The 65th Mechanized Brigade (Ukrainian: 65-та окрема механізована бригада) is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed in 2022.[1]
History
The brigade took part in battles in the Zaporizhzhia direction in December 2022.[2]
On August 15, 2023 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 2nd class to the deputy commander of the 3rd battalion Major Taras Mykhalchuk "The Spaniard", who directly planned and carried out the successful assault tasks of passing through the first and second Russian defense lines at Orikhiv-Robotyne direction during the Ukrainian counteroffensive in Zaporizhzhia.[3]
