This could be the last update of the site as, if things go smoothly, we'll soon be online with the new one. We want to say a big thank you to all the people who believed in us and supported us over the years, but then again, this project begun for you and for you it'll continue for as long as we have free time to waste ;-)

Ladies and Gentlemen,

If your name is included in our 'credits' section and if you have send us your address, you should know that your copy of the GameBase64 CD is already in the mail and you will receive it shortly, a little before it is officially released, as promised. We only ask that you don't spread it any further before our official release. As for the rest of our loyal visitors over the years, don't worry, you won't have to wait much longer before we go online with the new site and the Gamebase Collection!

Just for the record, there are 15800 entries in the final released database, however 88 are missing and 135 are known bugged entries. In addition to that, there are 21400 SID tunes linked to the database.

I have to note here that we asked no money for postage expenses or for the empty CDs, and ask you to consider that there are 78 people listed in our 'credits' section. I normally wouldn't mention this, but after the recent verbal attack we received in our forum, this says a lot about how money-oriented we really are.

Well, what do you know! As I went to htmlize this ZZAP! review, I realised that this game was not in Gamebase! Over 15000 games catalogued and this was not among them! That's disturbing news to say the least :)

Anyway, this game has never appeared in any collection but we managed to locate an original at a 'boot sale' somewhere, purchased it and converted it to disk (the original was sold on tape only) for your benefit. We even had it's SID tune extracted!

Sadly, it won't be included in our current release of gamebase since it was uncovered too late, but it'll be included in our first update -- whenever that may be...

Bottom line: Here's another game you don't have! :)

Seems like last week's prominent news item certainly caught your eye :)

Anyway, you'll be glad to know that the GameBase64 CD has at last been created, although it is a beta. We are now in the process of testing it and ironing out the bugs, a procedure that is also occuring in our almost complete new site. If things continue going as smoothly as they currently are, the GB64 collection will be online by September. That certainly would be something!
