Vice64X v2 (X-Box) released... with GB64 support!
Vice64X v2 has been released (VICE for the X-Box) and now includes full GB64 support! I tried it yesterday and I must say it kicks ass! You can do much of what the GameBase frontend lets you do, such as play games, play sids, view screenshots, filter by Name, Genre, Publisher etc.. Great stuff! Many thanks go to XPort for such a cool port of one of the best C64 emulators around.

Sabre Wulf -- The Magician's Ball

I decided to try and have a new Adventure of the Week every time. This means I'll move forward to the next zzaps as far as adventures are concerned, I hope you don't mind! :)
BTW, this week's adventure game has in-game music. Can anyone rip the SID?

Play C64 Games online!
Some documentation has been written by the team to help you set up the new ccs64v3 beta with GameBase, in order that you can play the GB64 collection online!
The documentation covers getting the emulator set up, setting input configurations, and starting/closing games. (Please note the documentation is around 500k, including images)
Hope to see you on the server!

Vice64x with GB64 support...?
I've spoken to the author of the XBox port of Vice (Vice64x) and it's looking like he's considering adding a simple GB64 frontend section to it (just a simple list of games, filterable by certain fields, showing a screenshot and playing sids). More info as I get it. Oooh my mouth is watering already... What a dude! :)

Back from 'Back In Time Live' IV!
The best 'Back In Time Live' event so far is over! Two GB members were in attendence in GB64 shirts, playing Sensible Soccer, talking Gamebase and watching the concert, which was, in all honesty, fantastic.
We were also proud to present the Gamebase database to none other than Rob Hubbard, Ben Daglish and Martin Galway!
Thanks must go to Chris Abbott and co. at Back In Time Live and C64 Audio for organising such an enjoyable event.
