I was wondering if it's possible to create transparencies in gamebases splash image.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Transparencies in gamebases splash image
The Splash can be JPG, GIF or BMP.
When i have made a splash.GIF with a transparent background colour, i got stange results.
I could see part of a file explorer window graphic (in the background transparency) on the desktop (when no window was open).
So there is a bug or incompatability in the vb6 code.
but feel free to try various transparent splashes and report back.

Thanks .mad.
P.S. I have no idea what vb6 code is.

I do not usually ask without experimenting before. I have had the same results as you. Saving as a .gif, where transparencies are expected, white backgrounds mixed with the desktop appears. Anyway, we will continue experimenting with other image formats..mad. wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 5:33 pmThe Splash can be JPG, GIF or BMP.

Jimbo was in the process of converting it to .net, but I have no idea if he is still working on it.

Visual Basic 6. It is what Gamebase was written in.
Jimbo was in the process of converting it to .net, but I have no idea if he is still working on it.
I have a lot of respect for Gamebase creators, maintainers & supporters.

I'm sorry but I'm a novice in the subject. Thanks.
