Etymology
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish زوراكی (zorāki),[1][2] from Greek ζοράκι (zoráki),[3] from Persian زور (zôr, “force”) + Greek -άκι (-áki, diminutive suffix).[4] Alternatively, borrowed from Persian زورکی (zôraki, “forcibly”),[5] from زور (zôr, “force”) + ـک (-ak, diminutive suffix) + ـی (-i, adjectival suffix). Compare Azerbaijani zorakı.
