From Ottoman Turkish اوینامق (oynamak, to play, perform, risk, disport, move, vibrate, dance, amuse one's self, jest), from Old Anatolian Turkish اوینامق (oynamak), from Proto-Turkic *oyna-; equivalent to oyun (game) + -a- (denominal verb suffix).
