Etymology 1

Probably from a South Slavic language or Slovak kadár. Compare dialectal Slovene kadar (cooper). Probably from Proto-Slavic *kadъ (tub). The noun Lua error in Module:utilities at line 142: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'h' (a nil value) is definitely not from the noun kád (tub) because the suffix -ár is characteristic in words created during the Hungarian language reform, which took place in the 18th–19th centuries.[1][2]
