hurler

French
Etymology
Inherited from Old French hurler, from Vulgar Latin ūrulāre, from Latin ululāre, from a reduplicated Proto-Indo-European imitative root. Doublet of hululer. The h- might be due to influence by Frankish *hūwilōn, from Proto-Germanic *hūwilōną; compare English howl.
