ce pula mea
Romanian
Etymology
Literally, “what my dick”.
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /t͡ʃe ˌpu.la ˈme̯a/
Pronoun
- (vulgar) what the fuck (more intense way to say ce)
Usage notes
Due to its literal meaning, this expression is generally used only by men, though some women use it. An analogous phrase used by both men and women is "ce naiba", or "ce dracu", which has a literal meaning close to "what the devil", and can also be used as an equivalent to "what the hell", thus being somewhat less vulgar "ce pula mea".
"Pula mea" can follow almost any question word with the same meaning. For example, "cum pula mea" would mean "how the fuck", "de ce pula mea" would mean "why the fuck", etc.
