Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *abula, from Proto-Indo-European *n̥bʰel-, from *nébʰos (“cloud”).[1] Closely related to Messapic atabulus. Compare Latin nebula (“mist, cloud”), Old English nifol (“mist, darkness”), Ancient Greek νεφέλη (nephélē). Compare also Romanian abur.
