Etymology
a- + adhi- + vara. Note that a- (“not”) has the effect of making a superlative for adhivara (“excellent”).
Usage notes
The misreading andhivara is frequent. Indeed, in 2019, in the Thai script without implicit vowels, it is commoner on-line than anadhivara itself, though on-line anadhivara is commoner in both the Roman script and the Thai script with implicit vowels.
Adjective
anadhivara
- unsurpassed
- unrivalled
