  1. the quality of being imponderable or unknowable
  2. (often plural) vagary (something, especially a future event, that is imponderable or unknowable)
    Manche Leute denken, die Zukunft sei bis auf einige Unwägbarkeiten quasi vorhersehbar.
    Some people think that, except for some vagaries, the future is more or less predictable.
